This is the most important page on our site for new buyers. Read it before placing your first order. Buying wholesale return pallets is different from regular retail buying — please understand what you're signing up for.
The short version
All sales are final. Once a pallet leaves our warehouse — whether you collected it or we shipped it — we cannot accept returns or refunds. The only exception is damage caused in transit by our delivery courier (see below).
We're strict on this because return pallets are sold as-is. The value sits in the contents, and once a pallet is in your hands we have no way to verify what came back to us. A flexible returns policy on mystery pallets would invite obvious abuse — and we'd have to raise prices for honest buyers to absorb the cost.
Why this is fair
We mitigate buyer risk in three ways instead of offering returns:
- Real photos and videos on every pallet listing — multiple angles, warehouse-floor video, never stock images. What you see is what you get.
- Honest condition labelling — pallets are clearly marked Mystery (no manifest), Manifested (item list provided), or Graded Good. Buy what suits your risk appetite.
- Pickup option — free collection from our UK warehouse. Inspect the pallet before paying the balance. Many bin store buyers prefer this.
Transit damage — what to do
Despite careful packing, pallets occasionally arrive damaged from couriers. If your pallet arrives with visible damage:
- Before signing for the delivery — photograph the damage, including any broken shrink-wrap and visible internal damage.
- On the courier's delivery slip, write “DAMAGED — refused / accepted subject to inspection”. Do not sign “received in good condition”.
- Within 24 hours, email info@wholesalereturnpallets.co.uk with your order number, photos, and the courier's consignment note.
We will then file a claim with the courier's insurer on your behalf. Most claims settle within 14-21 days. The settlement (full or partial) goes to you, minus any irrecoverable courier fees.
If you sign for the delivery as “received in good condition” without flagging damage, we cannot pursue a claim and the loss falls to you. Please be careful at this step.
Wrong pallet shipped
Very occasionally we ship the wrong SKU — usually a warehouse picking error. If the pallet you received doesn't match the one you ordered (different SKU, completely different contents category), email us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the pallet wrap label. We will arrange a swap and cover both legs of return delivery.
Disputes
If you have a genuine concern that a pallet wasn't as described — for example, a pallet labelled Manifested arrived without a manifest — contact us within 7 days of delivery with details and photos. We review each complaint individually. We will not engage with disputes raised more than 14 days after delivery.
Statutory rights
This policy is for business-to-business sales — the typical use case for wholesale return pallets. If you are buying as a consumer (not for resale) under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, your statutory rights apply and may exceed this policy. Contact us if you believe consumer law applies to your purchase.
Questions before you buy
If you're unsure whether this model fits your business, please WhatsApp or email us before ordering. We'd rather walk you through expectations now than have an unhappy buyer later. See our How It Works page or the FAQ for more detail.
