Cardiff Market in the city centre is a beautiful Victorian indoor market and still a core trading point for the city. The mix of fresh food, deli, clothing and general retail traders there gives Cardiff a long-running base of small wholesale buyers — quite a few of our regulars sell through pitches at Cardiff Market or at the smaller Riverside food market on Sundays.

Bin stores have arrived across Cardiff in the last 18 months — Splott, Cathays, Roath and Grangetown all have at least one operator now. The customer base in these areas — students, young professionals, multi-cultural families — fits the £3-£5 format particularly well. We've sent opening pallets to several Cardiff bin stores who've gone on to reorder fortnightly.

Cardiff's Welsh-language signage and bilingual customer base is unique in the UK, but it doesn't really affect what works on the shelves — pallet content (Amazon FBA mixed, TikTok Shop returns) sells the same way it does in Bristol. The student population around the universities (Cardiff Uni, Cardiff Met, USW) gives the city particularly strong demand for cheap homeware and electronics.

Routing is M4 west across the Severn Crossing into the South Wales delivery network. The crossing itself rarely delays the route, but the longer distance pushes Pallet-Track pricing slightly above mainland UK standard. 2-3 working days is consistent.
