Like most websites, ours uses small text files called cookies to make things work. This policy explains what we use them for, how to control them, and how this fits with our Privacy Policy.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a tiny piece of text a website asks your browser to store. The next time you visit, the browser sends it back so the site can remember things — like that you're logged in, or what language you prefer.
What we use cookies for
We keep our cookie footprint deliberately small and only fire non-essential cookies after you accept them via our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the wrp-cookie-consent entry in your browser storage, at which point the banner will reappear on your next visit.
Strictly necessary cookies (always on)
- Cookie-banner choice (
wrp-cookie-consent) — remembers whether you've accepted or rejected optional cookies. Stored in browser localStorage. Expires after 12 months. - Customer session (
wrp-session) — keeps you signed in to your account. HttpOnly, signed. Expires after 30 days. - Admin session (
wrp-admin-session) — keeps site staff signed in to the admin panel. HttpOnly, signed. Expires after 7 days. - Cart contents— the items you've added to a pending order are stored so your basket survives page refreshes. Expires when you close the browser or complete checkout.
These cookies are required for the site to work and don't need your consent under UK PECR.
Analytics cookies (optional — consent required)
- Google Analytics 4 (
_ga,_ga_*) — anonymised page-view and traffic-source measurement. IP anonymisation is enabled. Set bygoogletagmanager.com. Expires after 2 years. Not set unless you accept.
Marketing cookies (optional — consent required)
- Meta / Facebook Pixel (
_fbp,fr) — measures effectiveness of ads we run on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. Set byfacebook.comandconnect.facebook.net. Expires after 90 days. Not set unless you accept. - Meta Conversions API (CAPI) — a server-to-server counterpart to the Pixel that runs from our servers rather than your browser. It also respects your cookie choice — if you reject marketing cookies, no CAPI events are sent to Meta about your visit either.
How to manage cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. The procedure depends on your browser:
- Chrome: support.google.com/chrome
- Safari: support.apple.com/safari
- Firefox: support.mozilla.org
- Edge: support.microsoft.com/edge
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the site (admin sign-in, in particular). Optional cookies can be safely blocked without affecting your experience.
Third-party scripts
We embed a small number of third-party services to make the site work. Each may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy:
- Cloudflare R2 / Cloudflare CDN — image and asset delivery. May set caching and bot-mitigation cookies for performance and security. Strictly necessary.
- Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention on the checkout page. Strictly necessary during checkout. See stripe.com/privacy.
- Google Analytics — analytics only, set once you accept. Google Privacy Policy.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — marketing measurement only, set once you accept. Meta Privacy Policy.
- YouTube (on Warehouse Live) — the muted warehouse stream is embedded via YouTube's privacy-enhanced (
youtube-nocookie) player where possible. YouTube may still set cookies once you press play.
