Hanley Market in the city centre is the largest of the Potteries' indoor markets and still pulls solid daily footfall — a mix of food, clothing and general traders, with a noticeable density of small wholesale operators rebuilding stock from clearance pallets each week. We've shipped a lot of mixed Amazon FBA stock into ST1 over the years.

The bin store wave has hit the Potteries particularly hard — Tunstall, Burslem, Longton and Stoke town itself all have multiple operators now, and the £3-£5 format suits the area's working-class economic profile exceptionally well. Several of our ST-postcode bin store regulars have grown from single shops to small chains across the six towns in the last 18 months.

The Potteries' famous ceramics manufacturing heritage means a few interesting niche reseller types — particularly buyers picking up Amazon FBA pallets specifically for homeware, ceramics-adjacent and kitchen categories. The mix of working-class footfall and the Stoke Uni / Keele Uni student presence (combined ~22,000 students) keeps demand strong for cheap functional retail.

Routing is M6 north to junction 15 or 16, then A500 into the city. Pallet-Track has the route well-served, and the 1-2 working day window is consistent year-round. Northern Stoke postcodes (ST6, ST7) occasionally see day-3 delivery in heavy snow but otherwise the route is reliable.
